The O’Neill Story

With roots dating back some 60-years, Russel O’Neill and his son Mike started a small business of residential roofing and remodeling.  As the business grew O’Neill Construction was incorporated and the business expanded into moving houses and small commercial buildings.  After moving houses, buildings, tanks and even train cars through the 1970s and 80s a new venture was created for asbestos removal called Enviro-Clean Contractors. This new entity covered Nebraska as the trusted contractors to remove asbestos, mold and lead where a threat to personal health was evident.

By 2005, O’Neill Transportation and Equipment was born providing structural demolition, interior demolition and trucking services.  The business quickly expanded throughout Nebraska with expertise in healthcare facilities, large commercial and industrial projects as well as residential and precision demolition to customer specifications.

A year later O’Neill Wood Resources began producing a number of wood products including:

• Wood recycling services

• Biofuel for agriculture facilities

• Animal bedding

• Landscape Mulch

• Composting

• Land Clearing

And in 2015, the construction and demolition debris landfill was created that was much closer to Grand Island and accepted inert demolition waste, carpet, trees, wood, shingles, drywall, construction waste, concrete, metals and so on.  Fully licensed by the Nebraska Department of Energy and Environment, it serves as a much-needed option to municipal landfills which fill quickly and are costly to maintain.
